With our eBook “better without” we are trying to make a contribution to the prevention of smoking and the nicotine abstinence. Our target group is teenagers. This isn’t about classically structured teaching material, but rather we prepare the topics anecdotally. The texts are consciously condensed and structured for peer to peer broadcast. The optic and the interactive elements are optimized for screen sharing. This medium is widely used by young people and lowers the acceptance threshold for a topic with a negative connotation.

We work on three levels:  On the first we try pick up the young people up from where they stand socially and intellectually due to their development.  Of course we have to act on the assumption of an assumed average and can’t address the target groups as individually as you can.

On the middle level we show alternatives, quitting scenarios and emphasize the attractiveness of a smoke free lifestyle.

On the DeepDive-level we fan out expanding and continuative information, proposals, links and material.

We consider marking the levels with color codes in the table of contents. Every item is still complete and can be seen as building blocks of knowledge. A randomized access is by all means of our interest. The rather cryptic titles are intended.

We will keep on developing this eBook continually. New findings, proposals and insights will either become separate articles or will lead to the revision of existing ones. The supplied PDF-download enables offline work. Due to technical reasons interactive content will have to be foregone at this time.
